To be perfectly fair McDuff73, this genre of "pisswater" that you so affectionately refer to actually originated in Czechoslovakia, and gained enormous notoriety throughout the rest of Europe, especially Germany (who were big into lagering). The style of this lager is known as "Pilsner." Do you know how I know this? Because it originated in the town of Plzen, modern-day Czech-republic.
The most popular style of Beer in colonial America was actually Porter. Guess you could say those were our roots when it came to beer - looks like your roots are showing. |

Lemme tell you what this reminds me of =) I'm a fan of older professional wrestling, like from when I was a kid (I'm talking the first few years of the 1990's). There was a wrestler back then, he's dead now, named Curt Hennig. His wrestling name was Mr. Perfect, and his gimmick was that he could do anything he set out to do, sports-wise, perfectly. That's what this reminds me of: If beer-passing were a sport, I just saw how Mr. Perfect would have done it! @Buiadh this is the one and only time I support the imperial measurement system over the metric system. Imperial bottles are 12 fluid ounces where as metric are 11.5 fluid ounces so we actually have larger bottles than you. |
