Sunday, July 01, 2012 9:20:25 AM onoffonoffon: Acetaminophen (Tyelnol) works by basically blocking the COX from the video (Cox blocked?... anyway...) but it's not blocking them in the same place. It's blocking COX enzymes in the central nervous system rather than out at the nociceptors, aka, your spine/brain areas. It's also not a terribly well understood drug, so there are other things going on there, as well, that are not actually scientifically proven. |

Sunday, July 01, 2012 9:15:24 AM keith2: Take it with food. Vicodin is made of hydrocodone and.. guess what? Acetaminophen. They hydrocodone messes with your brain's receptors rather than the active slots on your nociceptors. |

Sunday, July 01, 2012 9:11:14 AM Draculya: The pharmacist in me cannot let this go as it is. Acetaminophen is NOT an NSAID (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug). It is in fact classified as an analgesic, which does not help inflammation and pretty much just blocks pain. Fleaman1797: It's cheap. It does work. It won't kill you if you don't take too much of it, much like anything else in life. Don't use it every time you break a nail, and don't think you can take a whole load of it at one time and you'll be fine. |

Sunday, July 01, 2012 5:28:59 AM "Wish they would have covered Tylenol." Allow me to do so. Tylenol is a brand of painkiller of varying formulations. Tylenol's main active ingredient is acetaminophen (a.k.a. paracetamol), which like aspirin and ibuprofen, is classed as a NSAID, although it has weaker anti-inflammatory action. Acetaminophen selectively blocks COX-2 which, as the video says, metabolises arachidonic acid to prostaglandin H2. |

Saturday, June 30, 2012 8:12:26 PM No one. NO ONE should take Tylenol. its killed FAR more people then most any other drug and its a worthless HORRIBLE drug. it destroys your liver and its not even for a fair trade (it doesnt work very well) it should be taken off the market, but of course it wont be. |

Saturday, June 30, 2012 8:09:12 PM This is crap! Yes, I'm being a desk chair warrior here: Most people take tylenol, and naproxin sodium. But they would much rather get their hands on some VICODIN! How does that work? Crap video! Nobody takes asprin or ibuprofen, thats what butthole doctors give you instead of the good stuff. Doesn't work at all except make your stomach hurt. |

Saturday, June 30, 2012 10:41:47 AM About half-way through that video I started to suspect a screamer. What a solid misdirect that would have been.
