Hahaha reminds me of a LEGO computer game, where the end screen would depict a huge word "THE END!" if you completed the game.
Unfortunately the word in Danish for the end is "SLUT!" and they forgot to translate that into English. Minor misshap ;) |

Looks like Sweden, but it's not the subway. I'm guessing it's the Stockholm Pendeltåg (commuter rail). |

Would seem to be Sweden, yes, slutstation meaning terminus in Swedish. (More directly, it translates to end station.)
On a somewhat related note, there is of course also the train station in a place called Hell in Norway, where they've kept the old fashioned spelling of godsekspedisjon (cargo handling). So when you look out of the window as the train pulls up, you can see a sign on the wall saying "HELL - GODS EXPEDITION".
On a side note, Hell does tend to freeze over every winter. |
