Friday, June 22, 2012 2:31:46 PM @TKD_Master You may be a master of Taekwondo, but we can surround ourselves with scalding hot pizzas (bigger surface areas than pies) that will render your fearsome footsies of peril a moot point. |

Friday, June 22, 2012 2:25:26 PM @DrProfessor Traditional pizza has a topping, not a filling. So not a pie. |

Friday, June 22, 2012 1:31:05 PM Since the mopeds were parked by the road, there are probably no pies to be had in them. |

Friday, June 22, 2012 9:42:29 AM 'Bowl shaped, crispy crust with gooey filling. Sounding a bit more like a pie?' Sounds a lot more like a tart actually. Apparently the pie bit comes from a shortening of the Greek 'pita'. |

Friday, June 22, 2012 9:30:15 AM Pizza pie. Pizza is, colloquially, a type of pie. In fact many of the first shops that sold it called it "tomato pie". And when you think about it, it makes sense. Take a Chicago pizza, as an easy example. Bowl shaped, crispy crust with gooey filling. Sounding a bit more like a pie? Damn right it is. |

Friday, June 22, 2012 9:02:07 AM I seem to recall watching American Pie a long time ago, and at no point did any of the characters make love with a pizza. |
