Saturday, June 23, 2012 2:10:07 PM The movie is worth a watch when it comes out on DVD. Visually it looks fantastic, the pacing is great, but the plot quickly begins to meander and lose most of it's coherency towards the last half of the movie. Also, some of the writing was a bit annoying, because this movie has the "everyone has to act stupid for a horror movie plot to continue" trope. |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 11:34:13 PM This movie sounds like a complete crock. I've heard nothing but bad things about it. |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 10:46:02 PM -who the hell is that creator at the beginning that drinks the magic potion and dies? is that on earth? is the human rae just a mistake that happened when some of the DNA of this guy survived? why did the geologist transform into a monster? why not the biologist? I tried pretending this movie is great and the plot is genius, but I just can't pull it off. I'm not even sure how to give a synopsis of this movie. |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 6:26:05 PM He's right. All that hype and then so much disappointment. I'm glad I bootlegged it. |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 5:25:27 PM Hah, that's funny. And I can tell exactly what kind of movie it's going to be from his questions. Sadly it will be average because stupid people don't require more and things are created with the middle bell curve bulge in mind to try and increase head count. |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 3:05:57 PM Why does everyone have to get on the internet and whine and cry about every freaking movie ever made. I've heard people on here saying Avengers sucked. I think it's just that people want to complain endlessly about everything. |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 12:08:41 PM I'll second those points, this film was such a let down, it should have been brilliant, but was indeed sh*te. |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 11:17:07 AM @FoolsPrussia I agree, I guess their decisions made sense if they were actually the new age-y creationist fundies they behaved like than actual intelligent non-deranged scientists. There are plenty of plot holes that can be filled. But it is asking a lot of an audience to deal with so damn many. Like why seek to destroy humans with aliens that are way more destructive and pose a threat to the creators. Unless they intended humans to be a more destructive creature, which would be a cool twist. But, otherwise it is like trying to get rid of a mouse problem and ending up with a cat problem. |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 10:32:06 AM @tedgp: I guess you didn't see my request yesterday, but I was hoping you could provide a link about that. I'd like to see where he said that. I know every Ridley Scott movie seems to get eviscerated by studio meddling, but a lot of the problems with Prometheus don't seem to be editing issues. The characters make so many decisions that are counter to their established personality traits. That's actually my biggest problem with the movie (that and the 3rd act). |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 10:26:32 AM More to the point, what's up with the derp guy on this video. Also seen Prometheus, similar questions asked by me... |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 10:19:36 AM Remember, a lot of key parts of the movie were cut by the studio to get a 15 rating. Ridley has already said that in the next movie, he's ignoring the studio and doing the movie his way and filling in all the holes. |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 9:30:00 AM Hollywood churned out yet another film, the premise of which is loosely based on a franchise that went downhill with each successive release- I'm, I'm... stunned! People flocked like idiots to movie theaters and paid for over-priced tickets, and likely over-priced refreshments as well, only to be disappointed by said crappy movie, and their own lack of common sense- I'm, I'm amused! |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 9:26:21 AM 'i just wish it was a mr. Plinkett Review' Yeah, that's what I was hoping for. He certainly could have done a real number on that script. |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 9:19:30 AM Why did the archeologist decide to reanimate the 2000 year old head, when there was a risk it would be damaged? What did that reveal in the plot? Why did every scientist in the movie seem to forget what it means to be a scientist? |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 9:15:45 AM How did the geologist whose job it was to map the tunnels get lost on the way out? How did the pussy geologist and biologist who ran in the opposite direction when the captain told them there was a life form suddenly have so much interest in the evil looking snake? Why did they cast Guy Pierce as an old man when they could have just cast an elderly actor instead? How did Damon Lindelof get a job as a writer? Why did Ridley Scott go intro production when the script was obviously a mess? |
