Thursday, June 21, 2012 9:27:57 PM If I were the principal, I would expel them for the next entire school year. Let their parents pay private school tuition for a year to punish them for raising such rotten, worthless children. They could come back the following year only depending on their disciplinary records from the other school, but they'd be banned from riding the bus permanently. |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 8:23:44 PM "Bus monitor?" What's that? It's not like teachers have absolutely any kind of power over controling kids anymore. We didn't have bus monitors in my dad, kids were just allowed to raise complete and utter hell on the bus. Man did it suck. |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 7:50:09 PM I love how most of the comments here are in support of disciplining the students involved while any of the other articles about discipline here are met with "OMG, that person should be fired!!!" or "What a terrible parent!!!" |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 7:23:01 PM I don't care if it was considered bullying or not, this is first and foremost a woman and an elderly one at that. Kids shouldn't be talking to and disrespecting her. I just hope their parents were decent enough to correct their behavior. I'd like to take a ride on that bus...I'd put them straight and I bet they'd learn some manners. |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 6:45:29 PM I love how some are saying it's not a big deal but get up in arms over physical bullying. Why don't you come over to my house, let's talk. ;) |

They were obviously just thinking of the most terrible things to say to her to get a reaction out of her, so she shouldn't have taken anything they said seriously. Sure she is overweight, but would that really make you cry? I'm sure she already knew she was over weight." Yeah well, that whole sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never harm me is a big load horse manure

Thursday, June 21, 2012 3:27:16 PM This is horrible, I don't blame her for crying..words hurt and I don't care how old someone is, especially when you are ganged up apon like that.I hope the kids receive proper disciplinary actions for what they did. |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 2:26:04 PM This is what happens when kids brought up on a steady diet of giving out internet abuse and having no repercussions then think its acceptable to then behave like that in real life. I don't necessarily think kids are getting worse nowadays but I do think with the invention of the internet kids are becoming less empathetic towards people in general and more so to the elderly since they tend now to be shunned for the perception of being a drain on society. What children need from an early age is to interact with life and the people around them and learn that not all they say is acceptable. This is a failure on their parents side for doing the easy thing and letting the their kids grow up in an isolated environment with nothing but their peers for reinfrocement. |

Thursday, June 21, 2012 2:20:22 PM Guys- being teased in school is a normal thing. Teasing an elderly lady??? I didn't dare mouth off to an adult when I was in middle school (even high school) let alone TEASE one. Don't start acting like she doesn't deserve this because you didn't get money for it as a kid. |

Sure she is overweight, but would that really make you cry? I'm sure she already knew she was over weight. I don't blame her. She's older, obviously been through a lot. People have limits. I wouldn't expect her to have to tough that one out. She was in a difficult spot, what was she going to do? She couldn't fight the kids. I hope she enjoys her vacation, or retires with that money so she doesn't have to do this anymore. |
