Fred, I had to look that one up. I don't believe he's -that- fluffy, but he does seem pretty long-haired. I honestly haven't seen him (with all his fur) for more than a few seconds at long distance with my glasses off, because the cats at our house hate that cat. In any case, it's the only one I've seen around that has that cut; it's not like it's an epidemic ;) |

I'm not freaking out or anything, but I still don't agree with it. And it -could- be torture, but I know nothing about how close they shave their cat and how the fur feels when it's growing back out. |

Atrayu4u: for god's sake, take some catnip and chill out. it's a haircut, not torture. I'd rather have a lion cut on my cat, than the poor creature baking in all that fur. It's an awesome look and helps keep him cool during the summer. |

I know someone who lion cuts their cat too, Atrayu4u. I think the real reason she does it is because it's funny. It's not like the cat goes outside. |

The crazy neighbor lady in the house behind ours gives her cat a lion cut for summer. It's hilarious to watch his pom-pom tail swish around while he's trying so hard to be sneaky in catching a squirrel. They say they do it because his fur is so thick that he'd bake in the summer.. I say he's a freaking cat and he'll manage just fine without the lion cut. I don't think they should be altering his fur at all :( |
