very well put together, i have seen documentaries on the subject that while i agreed with what they were saying i wished it had a better delivery. this left not want. could not have explained it better myself. |

When they start looking at grow operations, it devolves into "pot-porn" a little bit... they just kinda go around looking at pot and going "holy crap, look at all of this pot!" But it looks like the video is starting to get back on track. |

Prisons are privatized. They like filling the cells with non-violent pot-convicts. Law Enforcement Unions don't want it legal, it's an easy bust for them to up their numbers. Politicians use it as a "morality platform". Tobacco doesn't want the competition.
The only people who want it legalized are actual people and we're not represented by the government.... And Taco Bell 'cause it really ups their sales. |

20 minutes into it, pretty good so far. Obviously it's pro-legalization but it seem to intelligently dispell the myths while giving coherant, logical arguements and listing facts, not hype.
I am.... a conservative FOR legalization. Less government telling me what to do is a conservative value. |

I'm about 25 minutes in, and from what I can tell this video avoids many of the pitfalls of similar documentaries. So far it has largely avoided using logical fallacies or empty propagandizing. The most cringe-worthy part for me was when they pointed to all the celebrities that have used marijuana as a way of saying "you can still be productive." Even that, though, wasn't too bad.
So far, it's a well reasoned discussion on the topic and up-front about its own bias. |
