@Groogle: The funny thing is that he wasn't losing the game at the time this happened. He had won the first set 7-6 (7-3). Yes, he was trailing in the second set - 3-4, after this point - but he certainly had not lost control of the match.
He did lost control of his temper, though - obviously - and that's that. |

Stupid idiot: he deserved what he got, and ruined the game for the spectators. I can remember when Tim Henman did something similar back in 1995 (he thumped a ball at the net in frustration after losing a point, and hit a ball girl on the ear, making her cry). He had the cheek to try and argue he'd done nothing wrong.
I don't know what it is about tennis players and childish petulance, but they just seem to have far less self-control than other professional sportspeople.
