Tuesday, June 19, 2012 5:36:43 AM Sadly, I have to agree that the kid was put up to this. I REALLY expected and hoped to see a passionate speech that a kid ACTUALLY wrote, but I totally agree with everyone else (and I so didn't want to) The kids mom wrote this speech, the kid was totally put up to it. He was spoon fed all this info. You can tell from how the kid READ the speech! You can totally tell it was brand new to him by the way he faltered at certain parts and had to SOUND OUT certain words and phrases! His mom put him up to this. I really wish this had been a TRUE and WELL READ speech from the heart of a 5th grader, but I agree it wasn't. Fail. |

Monday, June 18, 2012 7:22:24 AM The kid's a fifth grader, that puts him at 10 or 11, which is certainly old enough to start forming his own beliefs about the world rather than just have his parents beliefs pushed on him. The kid's just smart. Good for him. |

There's something quite sad about adults that try and further their own beliefs by expressing them through kids, whether you personally agree with the beliefs being expressed or not." You're wrong. what if this was a speech about the importance of staying celebate until your married, or not bullying others? As parents, we have a duty to teach our kids right from wrong, and obviously this kid has good parents. |

Saturday, June 16, 2012 11:46:58 AM Didn't he mean "King" Obama? He gets to make all his own laws! Or selectively enforce the laws they agree with. |

Saturday, June 16, 2012 9:06:54 AM He's a fifth grader, why it's possible he was coached, it's not improbable that he has an opinion. |

Saturday, June 16, 2012 7:59:37 AM Whoot! I love how a lot of these kid's speech's make more sense than a lot of politicians. I don't just mean subject matter, I mean they use real words and not "loaded" ones. Bravo, kiddo! |
