That's pretty deep. On a related note, in some Peanuts comics, if you just read the first three panels, they turn into strange existential reflections on life. Try it some time. |

I did, actually. In the "Any Additional Info You Want Us To Know" I wrote that it was a Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal comic that can be found at www.smbc-comics.com. Apparently Fancy decided that including the credit was a bad idea.

Charlie Brown has finally kissed a girl he's been crushing on for a long time, only to notice (through a flaw) that she's a human being, rather than the idealized person he built her up to be. He realizes that this is a problem with everything, in that finding out everyone has flaws kills the magic for you. People do this all the time, and it's why young love fails so fast--they're just projecting an image of what they want onto one another, and when it doesn't fit, they can't handle it.
The fact that it's so dramatic is just the icing on the cake.
