I'd put money on this being in SA with a cobra or a rhinkals perhaps, don't think you've got the monopoly on poisonous snakes television, saffers have a few lovely herps to derp with.

I always.... ALWAYS check under the lid before I sit down. Once, just once I saw a scorpion's claw, just barely, under the lid.
Never again will I be seated before I make that all-important check. I can not imagine how painful it would have been to have been stung in the taint. |
