the amazing thing is that we still managed to stay connected and up to date about our friends's lives. and we were able to MEET in person on time at the right place without a mobile phone / sms. |

So, bassman56, why do you have to see someone's face for your interactions to be worthwhile? Blind people must not have any real friends.
Anyway, I wasn't suggesting that people never leave their computer. I'm saying that ebay is more efficient than a shopping mall, facebook is more efficient than getting all of your friends together at a park, shopping on amazon is more efficient than going to a book store, youtube is more efficient than going to the movies...and so on. You get the idea. The key is to make sure you're taking advantage of the internet's uses without sacrificing an active lifestyle. |
