Do you understand granting them equal rights does not equate your becoming gay?

You think everyone who opposes gay marriage is religious? After he calls you out on it you reply with a message that is barely even readable without the reader wanting to vomit. There is a way to state you opinion and that wasn't it.
Btw I think Marriage sounds way better than Civil Union. |

I will do my best to educate myself on whatever the issue is, try my best to think it through, and, at the end of the day, make my own mind up on it, and that is where I will stand. I fully respect that others will come to different conclusions, and I respect those positions that are different than mine. They have as much of a right to their position as I have to mine. Or you're just a disgusting and foolish religious non-nice individual who thinks your religion needs to be part of the government, so that you can use your belief system to control people. You can have your pooty Christian Marriage, but gays should be allowed to at least be RECOGNIZED as spouses in the eye of the government.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. We need to change the term for a legal binding of two people from "marriage" to "legal binding" for everyone, and a "marriage" would be a purely religious thing. They're separate things now anyway. The Catholic Church doesn't recognize marriages not performed in their churches. Non-religious people can get married at a city hall. If they were separate things, then anyone could get "legally bound," and churches would be free to deny marriage to gay people if they wanted. |

Gay Lifestyle? What is that?
I look for work, post at IAB, grocery shop, do laundry, take care of the house while my hubby is at work, and up until last month when he died I tried to keep my dad from eating cat food and take care of him.
What is this "Gay" lifestyle? I'm not complainig, mostly things are good but I don't know anyone who lives in the ghetto of gay bars and bath houses that we're stereotyped in.... I wish! At least then I'd be having some fun. Not that sniping comments with you guys isn't great, but it's hard to parley that into a reason to live.
I want to have all the fun, shallow, promiscuous sex I hear all gays have. I want to wake up on a strange futon next to a hot man who's name I don't know after having done things I'd be ashamed to report here.
I could use some gayety in my life. |

So, if I dont argee that a same-sex union is a "marriage", I am a hate-mongering bigot ?? Put another way, if I think that a "marriage" is defined only as the union of a man and a woman, that makes me a hate-filled persecutor of gay people ??
Who are you to tell me what I should believe, and that if I dont agree, it makes me a bigot ??
