Wendi Richter was one of the original 'Divas' of WWF... She was the top star of her division for nearly the entire decade and, along with others like Mae Young and Fabulous Moolah, paved the way for women to make a career in what was once seen as a men's only profession. I'd say she was pretty iconic for her time.

nettech98, I appreciate you googling it for me. Now, next question is: who was Wendi Richter? And sure, I could have googled it, but, not recognizing her by name or by photo was enough for me to reckon she wasn't *nearly* as iconic or as important as the others in the photo as far as being iconic and important in 80s pop culture lore goes.

I was wondering the same thing, 5Cats, and, like you (at least according to our marked ages), I was a child of the 80s, too. I'm guessing some mall-touring pop chicky, like Debbie Gibson or something? Definitely didn't rank up there with the rest of them.
