I agree it would probably help, but it might overheat the engine. Some of the cooling happens from that air.

auburnjunky: well consider it logically.. underside of a car isn't flat.. engine and all these pipes are exposed to create a bit of drag. But a sheet of aluminum on the bottom side could eliminate that. Look at the bottom of an indy/f1 car. |

My knock around town car gets 42 MPG. It's a '92 Civic. You're telling me, that if I close in the underside, I will get 58 MPG? What happens when a gust of wind hits my car and I flip? |

Of course I will. Oil companies are sabotaging our lives around EVERY corner because they make money off of it. Simple way to add about 40% gas mileage - put a sheet of aluminum on the underside of your car. That's all it takes. Want to know why this isn't done by default? Because oil companies say no, because they want us to eat more oil. There are thousands of things they do to fu*k us. Best thing that could happen for us is for all oil companies to disappear over night. |
