Thanks for the awnser, I did mean Geographically and the part with policy, I don't think any two contries in the EU thinks alike and that's why it's crap.
If you want to look at independent countries look at Norway and Switzerland

Apart from geography and high-level politics forcing us into the USE, the UK is closer to the USA than to Europe. If we have to give up our independence, it might be better to become a state of the USA than a state of the USE. We've more in common with the USA. |

It depends on whether you're speaking geographically, politically or socially.
Geographically, England is part of the biggest island in an archipelago off the coast of Europe, which sort of makes it geographically part of Europe.
Politically, England is part of the UK, which is a mostly independent country being forced into an artificial political union that doesn't quite exist yet - the United States of Europe.
Socially, England is almost completely seperate from the rest of Europe.
The USA is on the same land mass as Canada - does that mean that the USA is part of Canada? To the average person in the street in the UK, the distinction between UK and Europe is bigger than the distinction between USA and Canada - at least those two countries have a common language.

Turdburglar, how do you get to "every" Brit goes around kicking shins from this small regional event that barely even registers in our news? There are around 65 million people living in the UK, so you think they all fit in that little field? << Actual "European" IAB user logic, although I'm not from Europe, I'm from ENGLAND! THE UK IS AN ISLAND FFS! IE NOT part of mainland Europe.

Only according to IAB profile definitions. IAB is the only website I know where you have a profile and they've omitted four countries/an entire Kingdom from the list. Politically speaking - whatever! I didn't vote for it. Does Japan have the same laws/currency as China? No. Do we have the Euro in the UK? NO. Not part of Europe. |
