I didn't say anything about her having power because we know she doesn't. My point was that people live and care about her because of everything she has done over 60 years, her constant duty, even now at 86 years of age! |

What does she really do? She is a diplomat with little to no power. Her job is to be a figure head. When ledzeppeloyd said her job is smiling and waving I don't think he meant that is the sum of her duties but she really doesn't do a whole hell of a lot more.
Any documentary you find may dress it up but the truth is Parliament holds the real power and the royal family now just sells tabloids. |

@boogarcym Excellent point. It's just dumb luck she was the right queen at the right time. Hereditary system means you don't get to choose, influence, or change a monarch. Their inbred offspring automatically get the job. This system is entirely indefensible if you claim to have an egalitarian society. |

Ok I am happy to say that when she was young the Queen was damn hot.
Also screw all you hatters she has done nothing but be brilliant for all 60 years on the throne and I for one am very happy to still have her there. |
