Agree with Drips. Hasn't anyone seen the Subaru ads with gay & lesbian couples on LOGO tv (LGBT Network)?

I'm going to print this out. So whenever my Chevy lovin friend starts Ford bashing next time, I'll just pull this ad out.

"Volt runs on an electric battery and a gas generator. So, whatever revs your engine, we support you 100%. Happy Motor City Pride from the entire Chevrolet family."

Love it. And thank you to the retards who are pointing out that they are just trying to sell more cars. Duh.

I guess, it's more or less that they aren't anti-gay.

It isn't overtly "anti-gay," but it is stereotyping.

My interpretation is simply that Chevy is targeting a specific demographic with an ad (surprise, surprise). In the process they are making a statement about their position on something. It's hard to say exactly... I guess, it's more or less that they aren't anti-gay.

This ad was in a LGBT magazine so it's not gonna be the one you might see in Time or Guns Monthly. Companies who advertise in gay magazines often use well-targeted ads that appeal directly to LGBT folks, just like ads in sports mags target fans and athletes.

This is hardly a big deal. But props to Chevy nonetheless. In some number of years when gay people are treated like everyone else it'll seem appalling that they once had to sit at the back of the bus and drink from their own water fountains. Wait... Is that right?

Would gays actually associate with Chevy, though?

"so if we're to believe chevrolet, electric cars are gay?"

no, they are queer.
queer: adjective; strange, odd.

personally i think its a pretty good ad.

So.. hybrids are gays? Does that mean mixed people or that people who drive these cars are gay? I'm confused and somehow insulted. What a terrible advertisement.

"How about if something is "lame" you say it's "lame". Why do you have to insult a group of people in the process of saying you don't like something? I've never understood this lame trend."

This sort of political correctness is dumb. Oh, and just so you know, by your logic, you shouldn't call things lame either.

Shame it's an American advert because I'm sure they sent it to a correctional facility. Hung himself shortly after

You people need to go read Jason Alexander's apology posted after his most recent appearance on the Craig Ferguson show. Why in god's name would you call something "gay" to diminish its significance, or to imply it was not normal? It's just as normal as anything else.
