Saturday, June 02, 2012 7:33:22 PM Also at 3:10 he goes full retard, apparently the guy doesn't know the meaning of inept. "Instead we've been given an incredibly shallow WoW like stat system that even the most inept person would have trouble following." Yes, inept people do have trouble following things. I'm glad you could point that out for me. I needed to be reminded that people without skill typically have trouble with things. Thank you... |

Saturday, June 02, 2012 7:05:20 PM @SnoopyBG Yes it's a game. I can stop playing it, but can I have my money back? ;) It's not really what I hoped for or waited many long years for. I thought "Blizz wont disappoint me". Well... |

Saturday, June 02, 2012 7:03:16 PM @Tiredofnicks Well "grind so that you can do more grinding" is another way of saying that there is a guaranteed progression in the game. The alternative to this is luck/random based progression. True - grinding gets boring. But random progression (random drops for instance) makes you feel that you can get stuck forever... which it can, but is not likely. For some reason Blizz felt that taking the player skill completely out of the equation will make D3 a better game. The logic eludes me... |

Saturday, June 02, 2012 6:54:31 PM I'm not really sure what kind of trip everyone is on, but Diablo 2 never introduced new game mechanics in the harder difficulties. It was all about gear, the only difference is the mechanic of the Runes, and a majority of the players didn't want runes in the game, because it made player builds too required. Blizzard is aware of the issues in the game, and they are working on refining it. It's not a perfect system, and the "DRM" sucks hard, however, this is a huge leap better then d2 + LoD was. Haters just trippin on nostalgia. |

Saturday, June 02, 2012 4:39:24 AM As has been stated a lot, there is a difference between "stupid hard" and "challenging hard". Diablo 3 is stupid hard. It's like someone giving your opponent in a game of checkers all kings and telling you that you can get all kings too, if you work in a coal mine for 50 years. |

Saturday, June 02, 2012 4:24:29 AM So wait, Blizz's customers complain about WoW becoming "too easy", and now when they have been given an alternative it is "too hard"? I never got the appeal of the "grind so that you can do more grinding" genre of games either. |

Saturday, June 02, 2012 12:02:19 AM It's a GAAAAAAMEEEE. Stop wasting your time complaining about a game. If you don't like it, don't play it. There are many other games as well as many other things to do IRL. |

Friday, June 01, 2012 6:38:43 PM I havent played it yet but I for one thoroughly appreciate a difficulty that is just about impossible. I mean what is the fun in just grinding the last boss over and over. |

Friday, June 01, 2012 5:53:46 PM Fair enough, Pink. I wasn't aware of that statement. But still, for all the problems I have with it, the 'too hard' argument isn't cutting it for me. Sure they could have made it easier, but then I'd be done with it already. Most people would. I'm on act 2 inferno on my Wizard, and I've only bought a few items off the AH so far with in game gold that would have little purpose otherwise. There's not really any more farming involved in that than there was in D2. Watching it again, it bugs me when people refer D2 through a nostalgia filter. I loved it, but this was a game where Alt-F4 was an acceptable survival tip for dealing with extra strong/multi-shot/lighting enchanted. |

Friday, June 01, 2012 5:18:00 PM Thing is, the devs made inferno to be so hard that even their best testers were struggling with it. That's what they wanted from it. People are acting like it was some big conspiracy to push the auction house, but in reality they assumed that even their best testers would only be half as good as large portions of the player base. They made it so the devs couldn't clear it. It never hit beta; beta was a joke, nothing more than a demo. Second, the community manager, Bashiok, has stated outright that it is their intention to make people have to use the action house so I'm not entirely sure where the 'conspiracy' comes in. |

Friday, June 01, 2012 4:30:31 PM I haven't played nearly as a long as most people, but that seems to me that they made Inferno to be a lot like old school WoW grinding for loot and raids. |

This guy seems to be trying to go toe to toe with everything he sees, as well. I assume he's doing it for effect so we can see how much he's getting hit for, but no way did he get to act 4 using a 'block it with my face' approach as a ranged class. |

Friday, June 01, 2012 2:33:06 PM This is why i hate d3. Loved d2 a game doesn't have to be impossible to play to make it fun. The item grind and making that perfect runeword after finding the runes what was fun in d2. Now in d3 its just a bash your head till you get the gear or log and reset a zone to get ride of some mobs that are almost impossible to kill. |

Friday, June 01, 2012 1:39:26 PM I don't play Diablo 3, but I have played a large number of video games in the past and am an investment partner in a small studio. If what this person is saying - essentially, that the game's difficulty spectrum is based solely on stat scaling rather than requiring a change in the mechanics - that's very disappointing and a failure on Blizzard/partner's part IMO... especially after a 10+-year sequel lag. |

Friday, June 01, 2012 1:34:55 PM I watched this earlier today. Agree with a lot with what he said. @Swoop408 It's called "GENRE" That's like complaining about playing a racing game were all you do is race. |

Friday, June 01, 2012 1:03:25 PM I've never understood the mass appeal of it. I'm a gamer. I love RPGs. Diablo just... It isn't fun! It's the same poo the ENTIRE game. |
