Assisted recovery was a floor in a regular hospital that served every age group, The only difference in assisted recovery was that it was for old people because they usually need just a little extra ASSISTANCE. Their illnesses and ability to get around varied just as much any other floor. However that floor smelled a lot worse then any of the others we were on - sorry my petite little girl mouth forgot to mention that to your smug little boy attitude. |

I don't know how the different age groups in sweden would smell. But personal experience contradicts this study. Elderly citizens over 70 smell terrible, almost gag inducing. Middle aged men almost always smell of very bad BO, and terrible breath. Middle aged women, have not noticed anything odd with them. And young people smell the best, barring any of the obvious exceptions from all of the age groups. |

I don't think these people ever worked in a nursing home...or even been in the side of an old person's house...they have a very peculiar oder....however we are all destined to smell bad...because we are all going to get old one day..old people smell.. |

This has to be a joke, most old people drating stink.
When we went to see my gram in the assisted recovery ward (for old people) as soon as you hit that floor it stunk. The wreak of old was so bad we could still smell it on our clothes on the car ride home and now that she's out the days after she visits here are spent burning yankee candles, febreezing every surface and vacuuming up copious amounts of carpet fresh. |

My husband and I have noticed that his 77 year old mother has an odor that permeates her house and car. And it is NOT good. |
