Wednesday, May 30, 2012 10:05:26 PM How about the Obama campaign worker who said Obama had been to 57 states? Oh, wait, that wasn't a campaign worker. That was Obama himself who said that. |

Wednesday, May 30, 2012 1:13:28 PM I just read this one: "On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes--and I see many of them in the audience here today--our sense of patriotism is particularly strong." -Barack Obama Well that'S just sw- wait AMONG US?!??? Wednesday, May 30, 2012 10:55:01 AM Zeegrr60-"Failure, Like Mitt! " Okay, so an app (that Romney did not write) is incorrect, and you attribute as a Romney 'failure'. BUT, the following you don't consider 'failure'? "Polish Death Camps" "57 States" "Corpse, Man" " the first person who I was able to award the Medal of Honor to who actually came back" (the guy received the MOH posthumously) "unbroken line of fallen heroes — and I see many of them in the audience here today " "whether it's in Europe or here in Asia" (he was in Hawaii at the time) "it was like Special Olympics, or something." "a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died" )he was only off by 9,988 people) |

Wednesday, May 30, 2012 10:35:18 AM @patchgrabber Not just limited to words, but entire phrases. Most people will read this wrong the first time:
broizfam-"Whoever proofed this needs a new job" Or, at least, a different job. I just like the fact that things such as this against Conservatives lead to media blasting their stupidity or lying, where as Obama can piss-off an entire country, or get the number of states wrong, and he just 'misspoke'. (Kinda like H. Clinton 'misspoke'when she out and out lied about landing under heavy fire.) |

Wednesday, May 30, 2012 10:16:35 AM @patchgrabber, You and MeGrendel are both correct. Proofreading, however, is supposed to be an especially close and careful inspection specifically for the purpose of finding and correcting errors. Whoever proofed this needs a new job...unless it was someone on Obama's payroll! |

Wednesday, May 30, 2012 10:01:17 AM Meanwhile Obame screws up and pisses off a bunch of Polish people by saying 'Polish death camps'. |

Wednesday, May 30, 2012 8:47:27 AM Yeah, yeah, we all know Mitt didn't do it, but if it were Obama it would be the same reaction from the right. It seems to me that all American politics is comprised of is making the other one look bad and calling out each side on hypocrisy that has no real consequences. So both sides are hypocrites, so what? Does anything come of exposing hypocrisy? No. @MeGrendel: It's also not just words we recognize, but mostly just the first and last letters. I think there was a post on here a few weeks ago showing how you can make a whole sentence with the middle letters in each word jumbled and people can still make out the words. |

Wednesday, May 30, 2012 8:37:05 AM Obama thinks there's 57 states. Now before the left jumps all over me this is just being balanced showing both parties suck!! |

Wednesday, May 30, 2012 8:35:38 AM swoop408-"How do you not catch that?" With a background in graphic design and some schooling in advertising, I can tell you you'd be surprised how easy it is. The hardest thing about proofing is the human brain tends to recognize WORDS, not LETTERS. It is funny, and I expect this to get as much news time as Obama's '57 states'. (which, of course, got none. Wanna bet this gets more, even though Romney is not the one that made the mistake?) |

Wednesday, May 30, 2012 7:43:54 AM It's probably real, but honestly I would put it past a devious individual to write an app containing deliberate misspellings as a false flag act, just to make the person the app purported to be 'supporting' seem even more stupid than was really the case. |
