Friday, June 01, 2012 11:00:59 AM this movie is gonna suck unless they get the rights to his songs The first 5 words are all you need. It will suck as long as they have a non-actor acting in the starring role. |

Wednesday, May 30, 2012 12:15:03 AM @Fancysucksss I know who you're talking about, and though I don't think he looks much more like Hendrix than Andre does above, he sure as hell sounds/plays like him. |

Tuesday, May 29, 2012 11:24:55 PM bridog6996 If that's true, that definitely explains the andre3000 casting choice a little bit more. He was good in the small bits he had, but had never shown leading role star power- but if you need an actor with the voice...! |

Tuesday, May 29, 2012 10:56:56 PM He was also funny in that one movie with John Travolta. I don't remember the name. The movie itself was kinda lame, but he was good. @marcus I'm a little rusty on copyright laws as they pertain to music (I actually studied this in school), but I believe they can only legally prevent them from using Jimi's recorded music. In other words, they could re-record everything for the movie, basically "cover" his songs, and there's not much his estate could do to stop it. The movie Ray is a good example, because they didn't really use any (not much anyway) pre-recorded music. |

Tuesday, May 29, 2012 4:53:35 PM Outkast isn't really rap imo. At the very least, Andre isn't. And he was good in that Will Farrel basketball movie. As well as that musical set in the prohibition era. I forget both names of those movies, but he's a good actor and I'm pretty sure he's done as many movies as he's done records. But yeah, Andre is my Barry White. |

Tuesday, May 29, 2012 4:19:56 PM Apparently Hendrix's family, whom he didn't get on with very well, and hold all the rights to his music, aren't letting them use any of it in this film. |

Tuesday, May 29, 2012 3:24:31 PM I think it's gonna get really confusing when he forgets parts of songs and starts mashes them up. "Purple Haze Ya", "Hey Joe, I know you'd like to think your shat don't stank But lean a little bit closer See that roses really smell like poo-oo-ooo, "I'm sorry Ms Jackson, Let me stand next to your fire" |

Tuesday, May 29, 2012 2:00:50 PM One of the most influential musicians of all time playing one of the most influential musicians of all time, pretty damn cool if I say so myself. Ought to do a decent job too, only thing I'm skeptical of is the voice. Hope he pulls it off. |

Tuesday, May 29, 2012 1:37:35 PM You guys should listen to Outkast. They're good, and I don't often like rap. |

Tuesday, May 29, 2012 1:36:04 PM He's from Outkast, incase any of y'all don't know.. I'm torn. He looks a LOT like him, it's awesome, but I'm not convinced on his acting ability. He hasn't had much chance to prove himself.. |
