hahahaha, dogs are dumb, they'd wait until they'd die for you. A cat is intelligent enough to find a new provider of food on their own. GO CATS! |

dogs are sad, anytime you leave the room they think you have left the earth. its not cute or endearing, its just annoying.
those of you who are saying cats would leave at the first opportunity...you have had pooty cats, or you are pooty pet owners. If I were to die, i'd prefer my cat to move on and enrich someone else's life the same way he did with mine...and not just sit in the same place starving for 10+ years. |

skullgrin: that "someone" is you. My cat is and will always be loyal to me. I'm happy if he finds a new owner to love after I die, because then he'll be happy too. But I'm sure he'll be by my side till the end. Also, your last line of "cat" sounds like my Jack Russel btw. He'll also stay with me forever, but he's lazy as poo and won't do a thing for you. Still love them both. |

In short...dogs will stay by your side even in death. Until they die.
Cats will say "meh" and move on, get a new owner, eat food and live.
Cats = lazy survivalist.
dog = blindly loyal and dumb.

Justin, I agree.
Plus, Some of these like "staying at a train station" I'm sure that was just his new home to him. Clean water could be found and scraps of food to eat. |

My cat waits for me by the door all day long. When I went off to college, my mom would catch my cat sitting by the door, waiting for me to get home. Not all cats are the same, just like dogs aren't. |

My girl is sitting on my lap as I read this. She loves me but don't think will starve a day for me.
She is rescued and has learned that she has to look after herself.
My gran had come to visit us for three months and her dog, according to staff, stopped eating and died pinning for her. This 30 years ago. |
