Just think about her reaction - "c'mon, let's take a look at the picture!" They go to look at the log ride photo, and bam - something she TOTALLY wasn't expecting, done in a way she could never see coming, and probably in a place like Disneyland where things are supposed to be romantic and fantastical anyway. I say this will be the most memorable photo of her life. |

This was when France was hosting the World Cup. A short time after I proposed a group of teens walked by singing this kooky French song we like. It was awesome. |

Thanks Squrlz. It was such a perfect moment. I wasn't able to get the proposal translated until three days before our trip. Not a lot of time to learn it but somehow I knocked it out of the park. When the Champagne arrived for his birthday toast I said, "Can I make a birthday toast in French?" I don't really speak French very well so it took him back when I said fluently, "I want to make your 25th birthday the most romantic. After only a few short years I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you." It hit him what I was doing with those last words. I'd been wearing my grandpa's wedding ring on my left hand for a while and that day I had the ring I bought on. I dropped to my knee and said in French again, "I beg of you to marry me." He said Oui. And we drank lots of champagne. |

I love it! I think it's stupid to think this is "something a dull person does to overcompensate". I can understand if this isn't how you want your engagement to happen. But if you're with someone who proposes to you like this and you find it stupid, then you're an idiot for being with that person in the first place. |

you are stuck up leesah, you're more concerned with your apearance and symbols of wealth then the fact that somebody loves you enough to marry you, and is trying to be original/funny/ unexpected, whatever. you don't apreciate the man, you don't deserve him. |

I think the people naysaying this might not be mindful of the possibility that it could be a joke, or that it's the sort of thing that Lindsay would go for and as such it's quite a considerate thing to do. Different people like different things, leesah would like some solid carbon to show when she's engaged, but I think that tacky. Different things for different minds.
Oh, and leesah, you can't deny that with this way you're guaranteed a picture of the luvverly moment. |

jesus leesah..are you always riding your cotton pony. This I think is cute. and refreshing from standard proposals. The guy wanted it to be unexpected :) I don't see how this could've gone wrong. Imagine this guy waiting for the pictures to print haha |

Leesah, you do seem a bit too concerned about how you'll look when you get engaged which isn't really the main concern. That said, I'd hate something like this, a proposal should be between me and my boyfriend, not the whole world and certainly not his mates |

Are amusement parks the only place to get engaged that isn't "serious"? My engagement will be lavish and personal and extremely private, because that's what I like. One day people will see me and I'll have a huge diamond on, that's how they'll know. Not from a tacky Disneyland tourist photo. |
