@ patchgrabber: The second ammendment was added to ensure the people's ability to use force to fight back against an oppresive government.

When cops strat getting shot by otherwise law abiding citizens for abusing the authority granted to them and otherwise operating in a corrupt manner, all hell will break loose then when the smoke clears, they will have learned a lesson. An armed citizenry is a free citizenry. (unless they are pansies and choose to be sheeple instead)

A) He let him them search his car.
B) He answered the question of having cash. You do NOT have to answer any questions.
C) He gave them the cash.
D) He was speeding

He should have told the officer, "Yes, I do mind if you search my vehicle. Warrant MFer."

I'm not exactly well-versed in state law, but since he already told the officer how much money he has, would he even need a warrant?

Wait, you're voting for Ron Paul because state's have laws like this? You do realize he's a state's rights activist, right?

@Willowwatch

Kinda hard to get policies changed in a state that you don't live in.

@PinkRhoid

You just described every government on the planet. I guess I'm not cool enough to be anti US. He was arrested for dealing cocaine at one point making the police suspicious and did he not get his money back?

@o_cantiflas
Tell me where you're from and I'll point out your flaws mudslingings simple.

Again, this is why we have the second ammendment.

Is it really? Because I don't think that particular amendment helped him all that much in this case.

"Possibly corrupt police in one place of a large country make us a third world country riiiigght..."

In terms of legislation, the US are a third world country. Oldfashioned, primitive country

Possibly? In one place? Are you high right now?
Tanking economy, corrupt government, and oppressive police forces. Sounds a lot like a start to third world to me. You keep drinking the kool-aid and telling yourself everything is peachy, champ.

This is typical of the problems the USA has with its tendency to place lawmaking in the hands of individual states. It comes up when gun laws are examined: in one state, any driver's license gets you a handgun on the spot, but go across the state line and it's a record check, waiting period, etc. In Canada (and, I expect, other countries) serious legal matters (death penalty, gun laws, police behaviour limits, etc.) are in the hands of the federal government.

I'm sorry but have you seen our federal government? They want 3 committees and nine departments to accomplish any one task. Keep in mind none of those groups would interface or otherwise communicate with each other.

No, it's:

America, the land of the people who think they are free.

Pretty sure the USA is correct. Turns out there's more to America than just the USA, go figure.
