Wednesday, May 23, 2012 2:06:18 PM Driving manual is so much better than automatic. I get so bored driving automatic... I prefer having more control over my vehicle anyway. Parallel parking is easy. For my test I just had to drive to the test, floor it and stop without squealing tires (useless), back into a space, parallel park, drive around town... they throw in some stupid turn like a normal right turn at this 90 degree turn which means nothing to me, then they make sure you obey the speed limit and poo. Only thing I lose points for was I had my radio on -2 pts haha. Too be honest, you have to be an idiot to do this. One of my cars has 1% tints all the way around and I could not even do this at night time with my lights off if I tried. |

Wednesday, May 23, 2012 8:06:05 AM This is one of those situations where you wish you were member of an automobile club (you call them, they help you out of trouble and not one of your family, friends or neighbors gets informed) |

Wednesday, May 23, 2012 8:03:11 AM He seems to be stuck in the gravel (front wheel drive). The parts in front and behind the wheels might be used to get more grip. |

Wednesday, May 23, 2012 6:57:53 AM At least his parents are good sports about it. I'm not sure he's keen on the picture though. With any luck it found its way to facebook. |

Wednesday, May 23, 2012 5:58:06 AM The test to get a driver's license varies from state to state in the United States, and tends to be much more difficult in urban states compared to rural ones. I got mine in the more rural state of Indiana, and the written test was actually much more difficult than the driving portion. The driving portion was a snap. I just had to putter about the neighborhood for about 20 minutes and pull in and out of a parking space without maiming anyone too bad. I flunked the parallel parking portion, but I did well enough on the rest of the test to pass anyway. Parallel parking doesn't come up very often in Indiana, so they don't really require it for the test. From what I hear, the Massachusetts test actually requires parallel parking, which means I surely would have failed! |

Wednesday, May 23, 2012 1:01:57 AM I'm with @burbclaver, try driving a manual. Also, out of curiosity, what manoeuvres do you have to do for your test? |

Tuesday, May 22, 2012 9:42:49 PM Judging by the mailbox, he backed out and nailed it, how on earth he got to that angle I'll never know. Unless the wheel was already turned and he just floored it out for some reason. |

Tuesday, May 22, 2012 9:02:30 PM Based on the kids' reactions, I suspect that the youth has spent the last several months making fun of his sister's driving ability. He: mortified. She: LOL! |

Tuesday, May 22, 2012 5:45:52 PM Because getting a license in America is incredibly easy compared to most European countries. |
