The other funny thing about this: Apparently, stamp collecting has gotten such a reputation as a boring pastime that the copywriter felt a need to rebrand it as "stamp acquisition."
"Do you have any hobbies?"
"Yes, I acquire stamps." |

I actually thought this was funny. At least they didn't say "thrilling."
For anyone not getting it, apparently the U.S. Postal Service was trying to get children interested in stamp collecting by presenting it as a game. Fancy (and I) found humor in the copywriter's grasp at the "lively" adjective. |
