Tuesday, May 22, 2012 5:56:07 AM "I'm okay with this. What he did was unconscionable but I don't think there was any reasonable way he could have known the kid would kill himself over it." ^ this "He did a stupid prank. How was he supposed to know that the subject of his prank was deranged and would over react?" ^ and this "If the punishment is the same he would have gotten if he filmed a straight couple, where no one committed suicide, then I'm fine with it." and also this...if you are weak minded enough to commit suicide leave try to leave others out of it...what he did is what EVERY porn producer does...they are just mad because not only is he foreign but it was homosexual porn and they had to watch it...dont see why the latter mattered...ill bet they are republicans anyway... |

Monday, May 21, 2012 8:15:34 PM Sounds about right. What he did was inappropriate but it wasn't bullying. Invasion of privacy maybe but bullying no. Shouldn't be deported either. People who commit suicide are the type of people who can kill themselves. Can't blame the people around them on every occasion. |

Monday, May 21, 2012 7:31:54 PM Too light, but he shouldn't have gotten near a maximum sentence, either, in my opinion. |

Monday, May 21, 2012 4:13:53 PM 30 days in jail, 3 years probation, and community service. He is young, has no prior arrests, and this is technically a "non-violent offence". I believe he isn't being tried for the actual suicide, because they can't be sure there was no underlying issues with the roommate to begin with. I think 30 day in jail, 3 years probation, and community service, on top of being branded on television as a scumbag is punishment enough. He is a sandy butthole for doing what he did and he will live with this his entire life now.

Monday, May 21, 2012 3:28:37 PM Funny that all minorities, gays included, say they want equality, yet this whole case is based upon this guy being gay. The courts and media once again bowing to the left. |

Monday, May 21, 2012 2:35:52 PM it's unfortunate the the guy had to go and kill himself, but this guy didn't murder him or anything. this seems about right. |

Monday, May 21, 2012 2:10:18 PM I'm shocked it's only 30 days. He didn't do it once, he did it twice. He's lucky they're not deporting him either, though I think that would have been a bit much. Personally I'd have given him 2 years for it. |

Monday, May 21, 2012 1:04:12 PM Seems about right. View it this way: what would or should the sentence be if he videotaped his roommate doing something really embarrassing and the roommate was really embarrassed. I know that's not how things turned out, but he had no control over the guy's actions. |

Monday, May 21, 2012 12:57:08 PM Privacy? It's a public room! (by public, I mean he and his roommate). 30 days will do, if there MUST be a sentence. |

Monday, May 21, 2012 12:44:38 PM From what I've heard though he may not be deported. Apparently that hinges on the definition of the term 'Moral Turpitude'. Since what he was convicted of was an underlying case of 'privacy' that alone would not get him deported. |
