He might be "again" it, but to spew... sorry "preach" such utter hatred... and this is meant to be a man of God, the whole "God is love" thing...

When he says "Can you imagine kissing some man?" I knew he was as gay as they come... he totally has. Once a year when he has sex with his wife.

Some of these can be considered ambiguous.

All of those can be considered ambiguous if you look at the language and context they were written in and not modern English interpretations of them.

The new testament ones are particularly ambiguous because the modern interpretations all rely on very dubious translations or just making stuff up. No joke - two of the three main ones (Corinthians, Timothy) rely on translating a word with no known meaning as "homosexual". They're the "clearest" anti-homosexual passages in the NT and they're just plain made up. You'll usually find "effeminate" in Corinthians too - that wasn't in the original either. The third one (Romans) relies on a very dubious interpretation of
para physin
and a complete removal of all context.

It's all very ambiguous, especially since (as you point out) the most important source of Christian belief does not condemn homosexuality.

What a dummy. "put em in a fence and they will all die out" He obivously does not know where homo's come from. Not from other homo's. This guy is an example of why ignorance is not always bliss.

Leviticus 18:22
Lev.20:13
1 Kings 15:11-14
Romans 1:26-27
Romans 1:28-32
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
1 Timothy 1:9-10
Jude 7-8

Some of these can be considered ambiguous. And Jesus of course famously said absolutely nothing about the subject. Or abortion, come to that. So christianity's two biggest bugbears were a matter of apparent indifference to the putative founder of their religion.

There isn't much love in that book, imo.

Of all the flavours of Christianity, baptists rank as one of the lowest in my books. They're always so angry and hateful. What about all that turning the other cheek stuff that Jesus was always going on about?

That pastor is gayer than a handbag full of rainbows. Who says "againit" instead of "against"? I've been all over North Carolina and never heard anyone utter such nonsense. Seems he's uber-dumb.

@photomstr

Sadly, I think that it's already too late and are basically falling from the hill humans have climbed.

I'd prefer the death of all idiots myself. Most of the gay people I know are actually pretty nice.

"Can you imagine kissin' some man."

And that is exactly where this all stems from.

I like to use cheese to illustrate that point, because very few people are irrationally prejudiced about cheese. Quite a few people stop thinking as soon as sexual orientation is mentioned.

Cheese, especially cooked cheese, is revolting to me. Really, sickeningly revolting. If I had to chose between eating cooked cheese and drinking monkey pee, I'd be hard pressed to make the choice.

That doesn't mean I have to think it's revolting if some other people eat cheese. Cheese isn't objectively digusting. It's subjectively digusting to me. Different thing entirely.
