Dear Mr. Zimmerman,
When the cops tell you to STOP FOLLOWING someone. You should try that first, then maybe you wouldn't get your ass kicked my a kid who does not want to be killed by your crazy ass. When people are afraid for their lives they generally flee or fight.(fight or flight response, you may have heard of it) He tried to flee and you persisted in chasing him so he fought. Not surprising and no excuse for shooting him. |

He was in a fight club? Yet another reason he didn't deserve to be shot by some nutjob who should never have been carrying a gun to begin with. I know Trayvon Martin wasn't a super upstanding citizen, maybe he was even kind of a dirtbag. But unless he pointed a gun at Zimmerman, he didn't deserve to be shot to death. Bottom line. |

simbha: The liberal summation of violent video games and movies is that they cause violent behavior in teens and adults. How would actually participating in bare knuckle fights be any less casual to violent behavior?
I'm not saying that everyone that learns Karate, TKD, Boxing or other martial arts will be violent, in fact most of the martial arts teach discipline and respect above all. But street fighting teaches nothing except violence for it's own sake. |

@simbha Firstly, most of these underground fight clubs are illegal. I don't know if you've ever been exposed to one or not, but in my area, there's a lot of gang activity linked to said underground fight clubs. I'm not sure if this is the case with this one, but that's why this differs from sports such as boxing, football, etc. |

And, I contend that participation in fights in a relatively controlled environment (such as fight clubs) has not been shown to be an indicator of violent tendencies.
If he were a member of his school's football or wrestling club, this wouldn't be an issue - yet both can be interpreted as sports reflecting aggressive tendencies. If these kids were wearing boxing gloves, I don't think this would be an issue either - but because they're choosing to go no-holds-barred, somehow that is reflective of violent tendencies?
That seems to be a biased interpretation of the situation. |

Z followed M for 17 seconds! Then spent over 2 minutes NOT following him and talking to 911. It's not 'theory' it's a FACT!
He then started back to his truck. What happened next IS THEORY but the evidence supports Martin attacking Zimmerman. K?

Which means nothing. The 911 operator is not an officer of the law. 911 operators do not have the authority to give a civilian an order in any form or fashion. |

goaliejerry: The word 'Murder' has a legal context to it. That context has NOT been proven in a court of law yet. So please let's use the word 'killed' instead okay?
GZ was attacked by Martin and being beaten, all the evidence, so far, backs GZ's claim of self-defense, Martin's bruised and scraped knuckles, The gun was shot 6 inches from Martin's chest, Martin had THC in his system, Blood on the sidewalk was GZ's, Witnesses confirm that Martin was on top of GZ beating him.
Walking up to someone and asking them what they are doing there doesn't give a respondent the right to attack that person.
As I said before, this goes toward 'state of mind'. Martin was comfortable with fighting and this video shows just that.
Quit getting butthurt that Saint Skittles' life is being investigated, GZ's life has been investigated as well. |

I take part in an amateur fighting league at a local gym...does this make me somehow a bad or violent person?
the answer of course is NO.
so, I have to wonder, what does this have to do with anything, other than it explains why Martin was able to kick Zimmerman's ass so eaily when he was defending himself from Zimmerman stalking him.
again, Zimm followed, confronted and provoked a scared teen late at night and he got attacked for it. then, because he is a loser, he shot the kid.
to jail with him. |
