Question from left field: When did this creepy expectation of sex become attached to prom? Granted, where I was way back when, we only had "Grad", which was a gym dance, a square band, and a refreshments table. After that, you hoped someone had invited you to a party. But I never heard word one about couples expecting to "git it own" like American kids do today. Now we're seeing the word "prom" used here in the north woods and I'm wondering if the same uncomfortable deal of tickets, a limo, and a corsage, in trade for (frequently virgin) sex is coming with it.
Does anyone else find it demeaning and nasty?

Many women do not have regular periods. Therefore, instead of 28 days it could be 24 days, and if it's been 4 days since her period is over how do you know she hasn't started ovulating? It's never that cut and dry. |

Also, DingDingDong, read my response. That is what my OBGYN said when my due date didn't match up with my last known period. When I tested I thought I was two weeks further along than I actually was.
Also, your ovulation schedule can really get messed up if you're pooty at taking birth control pills on time). So even if a woman is on her period, you can still knock her up. Don't take chances. :P |

Meh. For something that appears to claim it understands human biology, I find it suspicious that all the "right" answers involve abstaining entirely, and even the ones where you had protected sex weren't considered entirely correct. The heck with this. |

Patchgrabber, I'm assuming you mean when a woman is menstruating. Actually not all women have a perfect ovulation schedule. Some can ovulate early, and some can ovulate late. That, coupled with the fact sperm can live up to 5 days inside the uterus.. Yeah you can get pregnant whenever you have unprotected sex (and sometimes when you are protected.. nothing is 100% except abstinence). |
