I was there about 19 years ago, it was under refurbishment
They were cleaning up the paintings and touching up. Could not see anything so thank you for this. |

I'm an atheist but this was truly amazing the first time I visited the Sistine Chapel. It's hard to describe unless you've seen it in person. |

Huh, I'm really not that impressed, only because the subject matter of all that skillful painting is very dull and meaningless to me. Sure, I admire the skill, but it's wasted on something so silly as religion. He may as well have painted Transformer robots. |
