have to say, I agree with Bill. The girls writing sucked balls, typical chick-lit bullpoo. Although his wasn't great either, at least he made an effort to continue some form of story line instead of droning on about pointless bullpoo.

The focus they have for different things is really funny.
If Bill had written about how Carl felt about the color of the button controlling the seat warmer and space off into his memories of how his pet alien sqzxyr had died in it's sleep he would be as narrow as Rebecca.
And if Rebecca had contacted a tea corporation demanding a new flavor to find some middle ground between chamomile and coffee she would have had a grander story. (alto not as epic as space politics) |

Why apologise for doing the thing that makes humans different to other animals? We have more advanced minds. Using them is not wrong.
Also, you're right.
Personally, I think this "tandem story" is fake. It's so useful as a tool to promote sexism that I think it was made up and probably made up for that purpose. |

Both stories are horrible in their own way. The nerdy space-hero crap is boring for it's made-up words and shallow development, focusing too much on action and not at all on explanation. However, the girly crap had a severe lack of progress and she tried far too hard to make something shallow seem meaningful.

That made me LOL fo' reals. I remember getting assignments like this in high school and writing completely ridiculous crap. Girls typically hated it, guys thought it was hilarious and would follow suit. |
