Thursday, May 31, 2012 1:36:02 PM I love Carlin, but he was funnier as stoner hippie than old angry hippie. He was still damn funny tho. "The kids'll love it!" Hee hee. Indeed I did. |

Sunday, May 13, 2012 4:55:52 AM We aren't 'owned', in fact we are fought over, competed for, catered too (in most cases). The consumer has the power. The mere mention of a boycott these days sways board rooms into action. Indeed Carlin himself may indeed have felt that he was owned, talent agents pretty much do 'own' their talent, but that does not mean the rest of us are. If you see yourself as 'exploited' then you always will be. See yourself as empowered and nothing can stop you. |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 7:52:45 PM Apparently anarchy is the only answer. I don't agree with him anyway. Yes, rich people own and run the country, but the politicians are their puppets, not the masters. Don't blame the government, it's just an extension of the economy. |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 6:01:55 PM Did I say ALL you have to do is identify the enemy? No. I said the first step is to identify the enemy or you'll be swinging in the dark. Are you deliberately missing the point? |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 5:54:57 PM no, no are ignorant if you believe all you need is to identify the enemy, and zap them with your minds. |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 5:51:09 PM Quakor "and americans with crital thinking will take them off their throne with THE POWER OF THEIR MINDS, right you duck sucking ashoule?" The first step is to identify the enemy, this is what the power of critical thinking gives us. If all of the exploited masses had the power to see what is being done to them we could really change something. George's point is that it is ignorance that is holding us back, as you so clearly demonstrated. |

It's called having to go to work because I typically like to eat and sleep in a house everyday. Furthermore, what did "Occupy (enter city)" accomplish? If you want something better in life, then do it. Stop blaming everyone else for YOUR failures in life. But I do like George Carlin and agree with this for the most part. |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 11:29:06 AM A revolution, for whatever reason or ideology, is just a changing of castes, but there's always just one ruling caste. |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 11:28:20 AM It's always been like this and always will be. Every human society is based on castes. Sometimes they're explicit like in India, sometimes they're slightly more obfuscated like in the United States and Europe. And the beat goes on. Ladidadi dee. |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 10:28:27 AM And yet people who do speak up are scoffed at by those who are indeed just stupid enough to passively accept. Educated people leave their homes and take to the streets after the learning is done. And yet they are beaten. And the older generation doesn't care. The money will still be there for them, but not for us. Of course I'm talking about the occupy movement. |
