More power to her. I think prostitution should be legalized in the US, too. But, we live in country, where sex is considered shameful and degrading. Many of the comments on here are evidence of that skewed view of sex.
I support her 100% and would have no problem with my kids hanging around with hers. She's open and honest with her son, which I admire. It's the goody-goody, god-fearing people that I don't trust, because they could do abhorrent things, and then hide behind their "beyond reproach" image. |

I know Alana Evans personally. She used to live next door to me and is cool as drat. I work in the industry (not as talent) but yes some of these girls like what they do. come on they work for five hours and make $900+. Sadly enough all these girls get a reputation of being addicts, but it is those girls that hate being in the industry but don't want to give up the money and stay that become dependent on substances to dissociate them from the reality they are in. The true addicts in this industry are only about 5% the rest are really cool and down to earth people. |

@EgalM - Yeah, you could raise a kid selling drugs or robbing banks, but that's illegal. She was making the point that, like everyone else, she pays taxes and the money she earns from porn is 100% legal. |

I could raise a kid off selling Hard drugs, so they could stay home with me, is that a good thing? How about if I wait till their asleep than go commit armed robbery? Not saying that they are equally as bad, I am however saying that because you can raise a kid on it, doesn't make it right.

That might well have got her $100K per year. Women in porn get paid pretty well, especially if they've made a name in it. Pornographers know that unless they're making gay male porn, the biggest factor in sales is the women in the porn. So they pay on that basis. Women who are a big draw with customers can really coin it in. Imagine you're a pornographer and a woman working for you adds $100K to sales because she's well known and popular. Are you going to pay her a lot of money or are you going to refuse and have her go work for one of your competitors instead?
When I looked up porn pay out of curiosity, the figure that stuck in my head was Marilyn Chambers making more than $2.5M for one film in the 1970s. She negotiated a percentage of the gross, realising that the producers *really* wanted her in their film and would pay accordingly. |
