Monday, May 14, 2012 3:58:16 PM I haven't eaten meat since I was 12 years old. Anyone who thinks what they are buying at the grocery store is from a farm is an idiot. Animals are massively overproduced, why would they give a $h!+ about something they are going to kill anyway? Something like 80% of the world's grain production goes to feeding animals for slaughter. The whole thing is ridiculous. (Oh, and no one gives two flying effs that you think this is sad when you still enjoy bacon. Get over yourself). |

Sunday, May 13, 2012 2:05:03 PM I will never stop eating meat; The rather sort death animals receive after the hunt is regular, and death is natural. But regardless, I would never agree to eat meat that as been treated like that, especially not infected diseased meat like the one of the pig at the end. |

Sunday, May 13, 2012 11:38:57 AM I'm very rarely shocked by things. But even I found that incredibly disturbing. Who the hell does that for petes sake?! |

Sunday, May 13, 2012 7:14:33 AM I grew up on a farm, and we raised pigs (old-style, large outdoor pen, etc). Pigs are the most intelligent and playful farm animal/pet, and can be the tamest. The treatment meted out to these animals in this video was disturbing, wrong, upsetting, etc, but given my farm childhood (which was great), just saddening..... |

Sunday, May 13, 2012 1:07:44 AM @FoolsPrussia & Mountainbord et al - She's trolling. She's one of the biggest trolls on this site, says stuff to get a shock from people. Ignore and it goes away. |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 10:24:24 PM This is a farm where the management's culture has gotten twisted. It deserves to be put out of business by its produce buyers. The individual workers also deserve prosecution. That said, while I am prepared to pay a premium for humanely/ traditionally/ ethically raised I recognise that the meat trade will never be pretty and acknowledge that as I tuck into my bacon double cheeseburger. |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 7:53:16 PM The top of the food chain idea is absurd. Humans have used civilization to remove themselves from the food chain. If you raise animals for slaughter, you're not participating in the food chain. |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 7:39:25 PM I am not passive-aggressive like most activist groups but aggressive-aggressive when it comes to undue violence and mistreatment of anything with feelings. All the talk about being 'at the top of the food chain' and 'they are just food' remember that when some random stranger punches you square in the face for being an idiot. Your not at the top of poo. |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 6:51:08 PM I just read the comments and I don't want to see the video, my heart is already aching. I hate animal cruelty. People who are cruel to animals can be cruel to humans too. |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 6:05:57 PM @Leesah: I find it hard to believe you're truly indifferent to the torture of animals, even livestock. Sure you're not exaggerating a tad just to make a point? I hope so. |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 4:57:14 PM The reason this stuff happens is pretty simple. Say your job relies heavily computer or some other type of machinery. When it malfunctions, you get upset because it's slowing you down or stressing you out. Factory farming essentially creates an environment in which the workers view the animals as machines. |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 3:59:03 PM "It's just a choice not to eat it. (If only sugar were as easy XD) but we're super off-topic. This is about animal abuse." Completely on topic i'd say. If fewer people eat meat, then fewer animals are bought from farmers thus fewer animals are bred and thus fewer animals suffer. I fuc*ing love meat, but god damn why can't it come without this bullpoo?? |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 3:57:17 PM God damn it! I guess I have to stop buying Tyson products now, too! IS THERE NO DECENT MEAT-PRODUCING COMPANIES???? Other than that place in Japan that makes meat from human poo. That poo doesn't count. |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 3:43:36 PM Although I haven't kept stats on this sort of thing, a lot of the vegetarians I know are very healthy. I don't actually know any that are insanely stick-thin either. I'm probably the fattest one. I don't miss meat but there are days when a hamburger smells delicious. It's just a choice not to eat it. (If only sugar were as easy XD) but we're super off-topic. This is about animal abuse. And those pigs are in decrepit conditions and something should be done about it. I would suggest boycott? It has a chance of being effective. |

Saturday, May 12, 2012 3:31:02 PM Yup , just your assbackwards rednecks runnini' the farm. Some of them even have the IQ of a pig. Tysons should be banned and so should these farmers. Anyone have an address so I can go and cattle prod these non-nice individuals. |
