Friday, May 11, 2012 1:47:39 PM "rape is not one of the ten commandments.... Um, yes it is... Neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's. cov·et   verb to desire wrongfully, inordinately, or without due regard for the rights of others: to covet another's property. Women were considered property eithor of a family member or a husband. You rape a woman - you coveted her. |

Friday, May 11, 2012 4:09:56 AM I don't think the Lord that the 10 commandments refer to is Jesus, but rather Javeh. |

Thursday, May 10, 2012 12:28:36 PM Any sexual act not rooted in marriage is considered adultery. Rape is a sexual act, no? Also, yes I know husbands can rape wives. That's a totally different conversation. |

Thursday, May 10, 2012 11:32:02 AM "Thou shalt not commit adultery. See? Rape is in there." Can't tell if ignorant or troll, but I hope it's the latter...

Thursday, May 10, 2012 11:21:11 AM Imno advocate of anything but im pretty sure the 'lords name in vain' thing is actually in regard to the 'idle hands' thing. For example people that say "please lord let there be a sandwich made when i get home" or " please lord let me be beautiful". Basically dont ask for stupid poo you cant do yourself. My interpretation is worth exactly jack and poo but there you go. |

Thursday, May 10, 2012 8:08:52 AM not going to read through it, but there is only ONE phrase that can be said, according to most christians (including catholics), that will ban you from heaven. its about denying the existence of the holy spirit. EVERY other sin is said to be forgivable |

Thursday, May 10, 2012 6:26:06 AM Most people misinterpret this commandment and most 'Christians' and 'Jews' are guilty of breaking this. Sure, we should not blaspheme in the words we use (thoughts and actions are related). However, part of being a Christian is taking the name of Christ upon us and being willing to follow Him. Taking his name in vain is calling oneself a follower of Christ (or Jehovah, for that matter) and then not actually following Him. |
