When one becomes so disillusioned to believe that texts written way before their time and without any meaning in the modern world should have more say than their current legislative equivalents which allow for greater freedoms in the MODERN world. They're sadly wrong. If you believe that your current legislation inhibits you, rather than enables you ACT OUT AGAINST IT. It's as simple as that, don't rely on old archaic texts to overule them. |

Yes, we must oppose tyranny! This, of course, is why we have the Patriot Act, the TSA, CISPA (soon), the FBI demanding back doors into social networking sites, believe in taking unilateral action, view the web as US territory and thus making the world the jurisdiction of the USA, have failed to ratify the Convention of the Rights of the Child, view homosexuals as not having the same right to civil marriage and the various benefits it conveys (medical, financial, and so forth) - um, I think I made my point. |

We are not a perfect people, Ms. Australia. But thank you for pointing out the best hope for mankind to date.
Although we are not perfect, we do eventually make the right choices. The fight for personal freedom for all of us vs man's quest for power is ongoing.

I didn't put urgent in the title, it's hardly a new thing is it, the declaration of independance, I just thought you might need a refresher of what your government was supposed to be like as to what it is now...pretty depressing. |
