Tuesday, May 08, 2012 8:26:03 PM @jamie76 Ron paul 2012 or no one. write him in. we can take back power. You really have no idea what Ron Paul stands for, do you? If he were to be elected, NOBODY would be able to "take back power." His whole philosophy is about completely dismantling the institutions of power so no one can use it to take from one group and give it to another. Under a libertarian government, ALL government welfare programs including Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare, food stamps, AFDC, WIC, SSI (disability), guaranteed student loans, Pell grants, housing assistance, green energy subsidies, etc., would all go away along with the Departments of Education, Energy, Commerce, Transportation, Agriculture, Labor, HHS, HUD, and Homeland Security. From reading your other posts, I don't think this is the generous and caring government you envision. |

If you think Obama has really done a good job then by all means vote for him again... but more then likely you have been brainwashed by your dumb parents into supporting "one side" because your stupid dratin parents honestly believe there is a diff between all these scumbag politicians.. |

Monday, May 07, 2012 10:58:47 AM "Ron Paul won Iowa, Maine, Nevada and Minnesota" No. No he didn't. He came in 3rd in Iowa. 2nd in Maine. 3rd in Nevada (Romney got 50% of the vote), and 2nd in Minnesota (Santorum got 45% of the vote). Romney has 856 delegates right now. Paul has..... 94, behind Gingrich (130), who is out, and Santorum (257), who is out. He has not a snowballs chance in hell, and if he tries to make a stink at the convention, he will be asked to leave. Bet. |

Monday, May 07, 2012 10:14:51 AM Ron Paul won Iowa, Maine, Nevada and Minnesota and has a delegate count strong enough to cause a scene at the gun toting republican convention. This one will be the tits people. Get your popcorn early. |

Monday, May 07, 2012 6:12:29 AM Kinda sucks that the Texas primary is so late in the season (May 29). It seems the only primaries that count are the earlier ones. I'll still vote for him just because I can't rationalize voting for Mitt, I just don't trust that guy. Well, I don't really trust any politician, but I think Paul is a little more honest. |

Sunday, May 06, 2012 10:20:03 PM I DO think Paul's core platform is extremely noble though. It's a hell of a lot better than what Romney and Obama have to offer. If you ask me, it's about time we kicked every single Republican and Democrat out of politics. We need politicians to do what's best for our country, not what's best for their party, and, ultimately, their wallets. |

Sunday, May 06, 2012 10:18:16 PM "It's not hard to draw a crowd if you speak at colleges and say "I'm in favor of legalizing pot"." I actually think one of the reasons people do not take him seriously is because of this. It's been the same for some past independent candidates as well. It's a shame. He'd probably be better than Romney or Obama. Legalizing pot isn't a pressing issue to anyone but potheads. There's a lot more important things this country should be focusing on, and when we have all that under control, then we can start talking about the legalities of a recreational drug. |

Sunday, May 06, 2012 9:51:55 PM corpsecrank, so the idea of America built around doing things for Americans flies over your head? Move to Zimbabwe then, if the idea of citizens having true rights again is beyond you, maybe you, should be elsewhere. |

Sunday, May 06, 2012 9:33:45 PM Those numbers would be petty even if they were votes. Even people who are not for the guy will show up at his rally for various reasons. Bottom line he isn't a big enough deal to talk about in media so they don't. A lot of his ideas are so far out there that he can't be taken seriously by any one with a brain in their head. |

Sunday, May 06, 2012 9:08:05 PM Rallies do not equal votes. Votes count; rallies do not. It's too bad, I really like this guy. He's right about just about everything except Muslim extremism. However, another terrorist attack on a major city (no skin off of my ass), and I think he'd wake up. Meanwhile, we could be well on our way to undoing the New Deal and the Great Society. |
