@mykunter I get it. I took my fair share of physics classes and I understand that sound is a wave, but the quality of the sound is in no way better on vinyl. |

Why insufferable? He just paid $10 for a prehistoric record-player (with disc) at a yard-sale, and is chilling in his local coffee shop. Laugh it up, make assumptions, take the piss. He is enjoying himself. If you get pleasure from watching other people enjoying themselves, fair play to you. If it is of any more consequence to you than casual amusement, you really ought to consider getting a life of your own. |

When you put a needle on a record, it makes a sound, regardless of whether or not you're using headphones. Everyone around him can hear what he's listening to, he's simply using headphones for better sound quality.

I'm sure I'm wrong, but I got the impression that he's blind. Maybe the positioning of his fingers. Or that he seems oblivious to the person taking the picture when he should be able to see him in his peripheral vision (I know I'm always more aware of it when I have headphones on).I can't tell if the cover has Braille on it. |
