According to the gov't, 22 men from SEAL Team 6 (none of them were involved in raid on Osama's compound) 3 Air Force FAC's, 7 Afghan soldiers, the helicopter crew and a civilian interpreter were killed.

When I heard they'd be releasing his "last words" earlier this week, I was expecting to hear maybe audio clips or something from the SEALS comm's or some sh*t like that so I was kind of looking forward to that. This, however, is not his "last words" it's just sh*t he wrote/typed while he was holed up in his compound watching Al Qaeda fall apart. Needless to say, I am kind of disappointed. |

Can you imagine what Bush would have done if he had killed Bin Ladin? He flew in a jet, onto an aircraft carrier, dressed in a flight jacket, to celebrate the end of a war that had just began. If he had killed Bin Ladin would he have parachuted into the Super Bowl? Obama has been very restrained in this one year anniversary. This was a huge win for his presidency. You can tell by all the attacks from the right. If it had been a Republican President during this time the "You're un-American for saying that" machine would have been in full motion. But as always the Democrats will lay down and take the "You're celebrating too much BS" because they are pussies. I say shout out from the highest roof Obama. You did everything right on this one. Your leadership was perfect. |

I understand the Karl Rove strategy of attacking your opponents strength but f**k the haters on this one. There was only a 40% chance that Bin Ladin was in the compound. His advisors pushed to just bomb the place. Obama wanted to know for sure that Bin Ladin was dead. This raid would have been political suicide if it had gone wrong. I think he hasn't been taking enough credit. I am very proud of our President. |
