Monday, May 07, 2012 10:45:31 AM @pumba62: Yes. If you took it in context, you would realize what I said is this is supposed to be a sort of gateway to other interesting things, and pulling the more interesting things off sites like YouTube, not playing videos from a single website like TED over and over again, or those stupid ten pictures from CherryPlucker. YouTube has variety. TED talks are a 'type' of video. Yes, it saves me time from browsing the internet to find websites like TED talks, or scrolling around on YouTube for hours, but lately it hasn't been variety at all. It's the same crap over and over again. I don't know what changed, but something did. Perhaps just the user base. |

Sunday, May 06, 2012 5:37:51 PM @OutWest, You do realize that the experiment actually supported the behavior of the protesters, right? *facepalm* |

Sunday, May 06, 2012 8:21:13 AM a similar experiment with chimps @Kain1 no doubt the chimps acted differently: they're fascists! They have a rigid hierarchal structure: if a 'lower chimp' doesn't "share" with a higher one, he or she will get the POO beaten out of them! It's slightly more complex, but essentially: Chimps have no freedom. I'm quite certain the "top chimp" would gladly eat grapes and not share. He'd probably eat YOUR grapes too, given half a chance. |

Sunday, May 06, 2012 7:37:51 AM @JaLacaob DO you actually read what you write? You said you used to come to this site because it would pull pieces from other sites and saved you time from having to search these clips out . Now that you have discovered new sites to visit ( from going there because of clips viewed her )you find this site redundant. That is precisely what this site does ...it is a user submit site that links to other sites, news stories, and other great stuff. You can ask my friends ...I start most conversations with ...I was on my favorite website I-AM-BORED.COM and I saw the funniest clip..dumbest person..strangest story..etc etc etc |

Sunday, May 06, 2012 1:02:49 AM "And yes, it does explain Occupy Wall Street perfectly! LOLZ! Greed & jealousy = OWS" This has nothing to do with greed. This demonstrates that even monkeys have a sense of fairness. They both did exactly the same thing, yet the other monkey got a greater reward. That's not fair. If both monkeys got the same reward, but one of them wanted the other one's reward too, THAT would be greed. Also, if you watch the TED talk, you will learn that in a few cases when they've tried a similar experiment with chimps, the one getting the better reward refuses to accept it until the other one gets the same thing. => Chimpanzee morality > Capitalist morality |

Saturday, May 05, 2012 11:31:28 PM I'm so annoyed. IAB really has come down from what it used to be. I come here because it brings new things to the forefront.. yes, it takes things from other websites but that saved me a lot of time. It was a one-stop internet convenience store, but now it seems broken. The coolest, best things from the internet would pop up here.. news, science, memes, and viral vids for instance. These days it's just repeats of the same crap. This, for instance, was part of a TED talk. You know, the talks that keep popping up on here? Well, TED talks are interesting so I started frequenting the TED site, which is what IAB used to be, a gateway to interesting things. Now? Now it's using the same sites (TED, CherryPicker) over and over again for its material. Seriously, it's getting redundant. |

The lesson here is that the OWS protestors should, like monkeys, throw poo at the bankers. |

Saturday, May 05, 2012 3:21:16 PM Not exactly the Wall Street Protest. To make it more realistic, the monkey on the right would have to use a hammer to chip pieces of rock from a boulder and give it to the caretaker for its grapes. After many hard years of that, then the monkey on the right could hire other monkeys to collect rocks, and give a small piece of the grapes to those working for it. ..All the while, the monkey on the left is still just giving back the rocks it was given for free, and complaining it is still only getting cucumbers. |

Saturday, May 05, 2012 3:16:05 PM @DromEd: Mustard #1! Ketchup or BBQ sauce, sourkraut, onion, mmmm! Dill pickles if I'm in a wild & crazy mood! @KaptKangaroo: Life is hard and filled with inequality and injustice. However, flinging poo at the hand that feeds you is rarely a wise course of action, eh? |

Saturday, May 05, 2012 2:48:34 PM So what I'm getting from the OWS comparison is, this: The first monkey, having put forth the same effort and given equal contribution as the second monkey, is understandably upset that the second monkey is given a greater reward- and by throwing the piece of cucumber back, is in fact rejecting the inequality of the system. |

Saturday, May 05, 2012 12:59:48 PM I like cucumbers & dill pickles, but greatly dislike sweet pickles and relish. And yes, it does explain Occupy Wall Street perfectly! LOLZ! Greed & jealousy = OWS |
