Wednesday, May 02, 2012 4:26:09 PM dear god fancy, do you just post these idiotic troll headlines to see who will actually read the article before making asinine statements? secondly, she was charged with assault. but since nobody on the internet knows the difference between assault and battery, they have no clue how justified the charge is. |

Wednesday, May 02, 2012 2:39:47 PM @Cajun: The previous posting of this story: Here at IAB @kitteh9 was kind enough to provide a link to an article. Also @kingdomCome linked The Court Report which clearly stated why she wasn't allowed to use "SYG" as a defence. If the two children weren't there? She MIGHT have had a claim, but since they were in danger from her shot too, she's got nothing. Plus: after this the husband called 911, she didn't. |

Justice. It sends a very clear message on the values of home and family! I mean, we can't have women standing up to men. What would be next? Talking back? Earning the same amount as us? Good God it'd be anarchy. |

Wednesday, May 02, 2012 10:46:00 AM 5Cats-"This "article" leaves out critical information." Now WHY would a NEWS article want to leave out critical information? WHY would you want it to include all of the FACTS? I mean, it's the NEWS after all. The NEWS is about telling you what you should think. It's NOT about impartially reporting the facts of a situation. If it started reporting the unbiased FACTS, people might be required to THINK on their own. And if people started to THINK, then where would that lead? It's just simpler for all involved if the news just tells you how things should be. |

Wednesday, May 02, 2012 10:20:42 AM @Tedgp I for one am a legal expert, and am disgusted and puzzled as to why charges were brought against her in the first place. There has to be more prejudicial facts not conveyed by the article that brought the DA to go after her. Being a trial attorney, whoever handled her defense must have been piss poor to lose a case where the State's key witness had "that" rap sheet, and "those" credibility issues. |

Wednesday, May 02, 2012 9:31:33 AM This "article" leaves out critical information. Like: She could have gotten her keys without taking a shot at him, she claims the garage door 'didn't work' but it worked when the husband came home AND when the cops checked it. She got bail! On the FIRST DAY she sought out her husband and attacked him, causing injury. That's why she's sitting in jail to await sentencing. One-sided article is not reliable. |

Wednesday, May 02, 2012 9:13:21 AM @tedgp I see what you saying, but I don't see how this case, in this specific article, is being twisted in the woman's favor. |

Wednesday, May 02, 2012 8:42:25 AM Why does everyone on this site think that they are legal experts. You don't know anything about the case so stop trying to judge yourself. Quit reading news articles that have an agenda or are favoring a side. ----- Protip bud, news articles always have a hidden agenda or favour one specific side. |

Wednesday, May 02, 2012 8:37:31 AM If the facts of that story are correct, the wrong person was tried and convicted. But, I doubt that's the way the facts were presented to the jury. |

Had there been massive rallies for this black on black incident, the outcome would have been differant. But it seems no one cared because they didn't have a "white guy" to blame. {even if they get it wrong and he's hispanic, you can still blame the white policemen}. |

Quit reading news articles that have an agenda or are favoring a side. Here's a great example of a case that got national attention and every journalist was shouting for their head on a stake. Does anyone remember a certain Duke Lacrosse team case. Stop believing every media outlet that you come across. Think for yourselves sheep. |
