By the faith of Buddhism, it would seem to be so.

"Why is asking questions hate?"

Religions hate giving answers.

5cats,

I agree that there are posts on here that are insensitive to religion in general and christianity in particular. I think part of the reason for it is until the internet non-religious people were encouraged to keep their thoughts to themselves. I know I had a lot of real honest questions that I was not allowed to ask of the religious community. I think there are many who have felt the same way and now use sites like I-A-B to express themselves. People who are offended can click the "next" button. I do it all the time when I see something I don't care for.

But as far as THIS post goes why is asking the questions the documentary is asking constitute 'hate'. It is giving an alternate answer to questions and seems to try and do so in an honest way. As a person who was raised christian I found how they answered the question of "Jesus' missing years" very interesting.

Fair enough @spuddington, it's just that there's a lot of one-sided religion bashing going on at IAB lately. It's not 'weird' for BBC, or Canada's CBC to bash religion, their politics are clearly far-left.

@Otto67: If IAB posted a 30 minute video of religious kooks, like WBC, 'questioning' if homosexuals were really animals and deserved to be killed, it would offend me. btw: Muslims believe this.
If AIB would put up fewer offensive posts, I'd complain less, but this recent (and recurring) spate of anti-religion has gotten on my nerves.

And it will get worse once the MSM begins full-scale hate-war against Mormonism.

5cAts,

Why is asking questions hate?

Seems legit. I'll go with this one.Jesus was a Buddhist monk who kicked the life outta Mohammed in a street brawl, over some prostitute named Mary Magdalen. Many people bet on the fight, but it was curtailed. But then Mohammed brawled with Jesus, and lost. And the Orangutan was funny with the bikers. And Jesus won the girl. And Geoffrey Lewis was in it. Good flick.

I'll just put this over beside Ancient Aliens, where it belongs....

More Sunday anti-Christian trolling. So predictable, I-A-B.

What's wrong haters? Is it that bad to ask questions? They never say any of the information is fact, and it's not like The Bible is based on 100% fact, especially after the amount of different translations. Keep an open mind, and it's your choice to keep your Faith, or stop crying over an exploratory doco.

@spuddington (the OP) you honestly believe that 30+ minutes of anti-Christian hate is interesting? Really?

I agree, this is a horrible thing for the BBC to have done. Vacuous nonsense.

Sad. When did the BBC start acting like the History Channel?

"Anybody ever read Lamb The Gospel According To Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal?"

Lamb was awesome. Anything by Christopher Moore is good.

My eyes just rolled out of my head. It's shameful the BBC produced such rubbish.

Interesting but unlikely. The Romans probably killed him, just like they did to every other crazy Jew claiming to be the Messiah.

If any one is interested in early Christianity, the historical Jesus, and heresies I recommend Philip Harland's podcasts: Here

A bit of a misleading title. Any extended Buddhist connection isn't started until about eleven minutes to go. Beyond that point though, it is some very interesting stuff.

this is a common theory that stems from the "missing years" from jesus's childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood.
