Few years ago we were hiking in the area where there is a Hurd of wild buffalo. Asian buffalos are much smaller then the bisons. A bull with a couple of cows was suiting ona narrow bend blocking the way. Completely ignoring our shooing so after 20 min of that I climbed uphill and started throwing pebbles at them. My idiot friend just stood. By them.
One pebble hit right on the bulls spine, it rose some freaking fast and charged my friend. Who let out the most pathetic little shriek and sqatted down covering her face. The bull stopped inches from her face and then gingerly walked around her to go someplace else. The cows ran the other way.
She has not spoken to me since then.

I've been charge by a water buffalo while living in Kenya. I was with a group and there was a British couple with us that was annoying the ever living crap out of everyone...at which time I pointed out to them that when they charge they rarely bluff and they were the only two standing on their own in front of everyone.
luckily the charge was a bluff but I'm pretty sure what the lady did in her pants indicated otherwise. |
