Saturday, April 28, 2012 3:13:55 PM I don't mean this to be insulting, but the child looks like he may be autistic. He may be a phenom, a genius waiting to blossom. :) |

Saturday, April 28, 2012 2:11:09 PM @fancylad: I never said it was a big deal, and I totally agree with you. I have hung around autistic children before, and yes, he's acting like it. All I was doing was trying to answer the question you had about tedgp when you didn't understand him when he said he thought you were "discriminating". You're totally right though. |

Friday, April 27, 2012 10:03:52 PM @slut, Your argument isn't really valid. Just because your friend is poo at piano, doesn't mean everyone else to play it is good. |

Friday, April 27, 2012 4:48:18 PM @slut_ella: There's a long road from "recognizable" to "good" and it takes time to get there. This kid hasn't made the journey yet. Hopefully he'll stick with it. I started playing piano at his age and it's brought me a lifetime of joy and cash when I need it. |

Friday, April 27, 2012 3:28:39 PM doug1963aaa the kid isn't reading the music and at 6 he might not even read english yet. so how can you say its terrible? my best friend in high school had taken piano for 12 years and when she played Chopsticks you couldn't tell what the tune was. this kid is pretty fab and can only get better. |

Friday, April 27, 2012 12:16:29 PM If you don't know anything about the video and only hear the sound, you'll wonder why somebody posted such a terrible performance. Yes I can play. No, it doesn't matter that he's only 6--it still sucks. I was expecting somebody more Mozart-like.

Friday, April 27, 2012 10:45:22 AM j_dizzek_27: Have you ever hung around autistic children? They act pretty much like this kid--what's the big f*cking deal?. I worked with autistic kids in college for a behavioral science class--autism is what it is. I'm no hand wringer, but it's a little disappointing that so many I-A-Bers are. |

Friday, April 27, 2012 10:44:14 AM The fact you said "autism, right?" can imply discrimination, when the original link clearly states that the child is autistic. If you didnt want to have this tone to your caption, it would have been better to say "Autistic 6 year old Ethan" |

Friday, April 27, 2012 10:26:49 AM I think what tedgp meant was, why does the kid have to be autistic to be good at piano? I have a friend that could play without music and he's not autistic at all. He would just teach himself which keys to hit when, and he was better than me, who actually took lessons. |

Friday, April 27, 2012 10:19:19 AM How am I discriminating now? Please tell me because either you're incredibly hyper-sensitive or... no, it can only be that you're hyper-sensitive. |
