"couldn't a lot of this unpleasantness and racial strife have been prevented if the sandford cops just did their job that night?" They did. But there was no hard evidence and the DA did not pursue criminal charges. I'm not saying Zimmerman's innocent, I'm saying there's no evidence he's guilty. HUGE differance. The special prosecutor was brought in to quell the rabble. The crowds were getting loud so like Pontius Pilot we'll crucify whomever they like to shut them up. Justice by Popular Vote. |

Saturday, April 28, 2012 2:08:17 PM Zimmerman walks = riot Zimmerman jailed = riot Either way Zimmerman days are numbered. To bad NO ONE except Zimmerman and Martin really know what happened. This lame ass "case" will only affect me if gun laws are changed from "self defense" to "let the aggressor win". |

Saturday, April 28, 2012 11:57:40 AM Why are they donating to them since having additional money wont't actually do anything? What is it going to be used for? Also why do they LOVE God so much when she/he didn't "SAVE" their own son. I never understand religious people still believing in God when they've just been metaphorically punched in the butt by him/her. |

Saturday, April 28, 2012 11:39:45 AM I would say that i can't wait till this trial is over so we could move on...but there will come another of some sort, that affects me in no way, that everyone can be outraged about. |

Saturday, April 28, 2012 11:19:27 AM @whodat6484 did you even read it? When you go to the page you see that it is set up through other charities. I bet you the money will not go directly to the parents and they might not even see any of it. I love how people read some little blurb and just assume they know all the facts. |

Saturday, April 28, 2012 10:58:47 AM @leesah: That's a far cry from "draining the funds and taking off", so....you fail. @auburnjunky: Can't. The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades! |

Saturday, April 28, 2012 10:53:38 AM Hahaha, all they're doing with that ad is promoting their "charity" (or whatever you wanna call it) so people send them more $$ and trying to make it look like it's a "Thank You Letter" |

Saturday, April 28, 2012 10:40:20 AM "Where is the evidence supporting that theory, leesah?" It says it right there, doesn't it? "In the future, the Justice for Trayvon Martin Foundation will use the monies to raise awareness and support for similar cases." The next time a mexican shoots a black kid and it gets national news attention for multiple weeks, this foundation will totally support that case. Totally. They're saving it up for just that reason. "They" solely being TM's mother and father, who are directly behind this "advocacy campaign for truth". It's all laid out for you right there on the website. |

Saturday, April 28, 2012 9:51:34 AM "The funds are for the Foundation are to support awareness of civil rights, social justice and the quality of life for young black men." So they're putting it in a bank account for themselves. You'll notice it's for AWARENESS, not for them to actually use to assist people. Wonderful farce. As soon as the trial is over and people stop caring they'll drain the funds and take off. |

Saturday, April 28, 2012 9:03:36 AM Actually, Sharpton is a donor. It's not a big deal. Donations go to the Justice for Trayvon Martin Foundation. |

There are a number of activists and "Actions Centers" that would work for free. The state is covering all costs of prosecution of Zimmerman. So this money pays for ... ? Al Shaprton? Just a guess. |

Saturday, April 28, 2012 8:33:06 AM There are 100's of attorneys who would work for the parents for free, the publicity alone is worth more than their usual fees. Their attorney should be paying them, and it would not surprise me if he was. These people are going to get paid someway, count on it. |
