Friday, April 27, 2012 7:54:40 AM I tend to view cricket in the same light as fishing: Get comfortable, open beer and picnic, relax, chill and de-stress. Who cares who wins? who cares if you catch a fish? Just watch the game/float. Applaud when something happens. Listen to the birds singing. Think deep thoughts. Share another beer and a chat with your fellow relaxees. |

Thursday, April 26, 2012 6:49:23 PM "Cricket is amazing. The way a five day test can come down to the final few overs. The strategy, field placements. Watching a batsman spend two days at the crease while he is pummelled by fast bowlers just to draw the match. Seeing a fast bowler shatter the stumps or a spinner completely bamboozle the batsman. It's something you get or you don't though and it takes a lot of watching to see what is really going on." I understand most of those words. Just not in the order you're using them. |

Wednesday, April 25, 2012 5:22:10 PM This prompted me to watch a video about the basics of cricket. Honestly? I thought it would be more interesting what with how hugely popular it is around the world, but it looks...well, kind of dumb. I'm sorry! If it makes you feel better, I don't like baseball either, it's dull as hell, but I now find it more interesting than cricket. |

Wednesday, April 25, 2012 4:35:29 PM I just don't care about sports in general. 'cept perhaps Pro-Bending, but, well, unfortunately I live in reality where there aren't any games dedicated to spewing fire at your opponents. (And if there are, please feel free to enlighten me.) |

Wednesday, April 25, 2012 12:08:12 PM Cricket is the second most popular sport in the world and has two to three billion fans according to some sources. I guess not everybody thinks it's boring or confusing. |

Wednesday, April 25, 2012 11:59:24 AM @Mister_C: don't forget that most americans find baseball boring and the games last 2 1/2 - 3 hours standard, while Cricket games (known as tests) can last for days |

Wednesday, April 25, 2012 11:16:46 AM Cricket is dull. Americans: it's essentially baseball, but you have to hit the wicket behind the batter (and you hold the bat in a funny way), and instead of running in a diamond, you just run back and forth in a line between bowler and batter. Dull.

Wednesday, April 25, 2012 10:22:28 AM Everybody played cricket a few times a year in PE. It was the only thing in PE I liked because I was actually good at it. |
