He appears to be just shy of popping a cap in their collective arses.

This video would be much more effective if the dad hadn't ranted so much. Not saying he didn't have reason to but he did get a little rant happy. Also 'the set up' for most of the clips was at best unnecessarily long, he should have minimized the talkie talkie and just let the audio speak for itself.

Having said that, those people are disgusting and none of them should work with children again. This may be a little overboard but it seems like special needs classes should be recorded and monitored to prevent these kind of situations from happening.

@ RickWhite Gerry 101 kind of has a point on that, publicly releasing it is kind of a double edged sword, because if it ever becomes a legal matter it will be harder to have and objective result. Especially on audio that was probably illegally obtained so probably wouldn't be allowed as evidence.

On the other hand if it wasn't released publicly there probably wouldn't have been any chance at justice at all for this man and his son, the "protectors/authorities" would just lie to protect their "own" and not the victim at least when you bring it publicly it coerces those who would like to stand in the way of justice to stop protecting the offender or be dragged down along with them.

Of course there will always be people who would like to back the offender anyway whether they feel some kind of connection to them or maybe do the same things as them and can see themselves in their shoes, all you can do is to lead by example and try not to discriminate o

This... Is just disgusting...

My nephew is 5 years old. He is a beautiful, amazing, sharp little boy with autism. He may not be able to speak, but he is so crafty and resourceful (you should see him on an iPad... scary how well he can use that...)

I would die if I ever found out someone treated my little guy like this...

Unacceptable. To those of you who say he's just whining, I simply don't understand where you're coming from. As a victim of bullying myself, I can tell you all that it was bad enough when they ignored everything that was happening. If they had actually been partaking in that bullying, I'm honestly not entirely sure I would still be ALIVE right now. This child was ten years old, and AUTISTIC. This man is right when he says people like this don't deserve to be teachers. This woman is a scumbag, as are her cohorts. I might have felt some sympathy with her getting impatient with any other child, but you signed up KNOWING you would be working with kids who have special needs. These people are immature, selfish children in adult bodies who should never have had these jobs to begin with! They deserve nothing less than being fired and banned from any future jobs involving the education or care of children.

Meh, I went to Catholic school. It was much worse than this. One teacher in particular... he was of Middle Eastern descent, taught algebra.

He would step on our toes while we were seated at our desks and ask "Does it hurt?" I remember hearing him call my friend "pathetic", repeatedly. One time he dragged me across the room by my ear. I spent every recess for about 3 months (winter months) sitting outside on the pavement doing algebra. I heard (can't confirm but my brother could) stories of him calling students "trash" and making them stand in the trash can. He would look down the girls' shirts while standing behind them. He was a sadistic, twisted man.

Several years later someone spray painted "Child Molester" on his house and fire bombed his garage.

CrakrJak, I agree the teaching sytem and teachers union have failed us. I was only commenting on this one incident, not the entire industry.

But I agree with you for the most part about them.

@ elkingo - the kid's teacher was fired.
Yes, I would call that appropriate. What do you want them to do? Drag her by the heals through the street crying 'Burn Witch Burn' ?

robosnitz: they should cut your internet access, and only give you books that are appropriate for level of understanding.

Gerry, "appropriate" action? Are you serious?

Those ladies do not deserve to be teachers, and they are horrid people. I would say that the action is far from "appropriate".

1) robosnitz--you are an ignorant dick.
2) Gerry1of1--you're wrong. Putting it on youtube is the best thing he could have done. It gives the victim a VOICE. He can express his feelings, in his own words, unedited--something we never get from mass media.
3) Patchouly... you said it yourself... "any sort of abuse against a student, especially one with autism, is unacceptable." It was abuse. Special Needs children require extra care. Perhaps with a normal child it is inappropriate? But SPECIAL NEEDS means you have to give a little extra when caring for them.

I know MANY teachers (8) in various levels of education. It IS a difficult job... very much so... it takes a certain passion to do that job. Unfortunately there are many teachers who don't have that passion who are in education. They are the ones the union needs to stop protecting.

Lastly... imagine that it is YOUR kid.

I looked after after a 7 year old autistic girl for 3 years. Took her to all her speech therapy sessions, her schools, etc. I sat in on all of them too. Anyone who does this to autistic children deserves to be fired. This is absolutely appalling.

Autistic children are pretty amazing to work with. I had a 5 year old girl read me a 30 page book without looking at the pages, but she recited each page WORD FOR WORD. Incredible. Autistic children are indeed gifted and special in a lot of ways, but the downside is they suffer from being completely and totally inept socially.

Gerry: I have to disagree with you. There are some really bad teachers in our school systems around the country, the unions over protect and coddle them.

We desperately need to sweep out the bad teachers and keep the good ones, a house cleaning in that regard is decades and decades overdue.

Calling a caring Dad a "whining little bitch" is bullying in and of itself. It's sad that this mistreatment wasn't caught earlier and that this child had to endure these monstrous people for so long.

I have worked with autistic people, and i can say, its really hard, but to make fun of them in that kind of way. You need to have something wrong in your head, its just not funny.
If you are an outsider i might see why you would bully a kid like that, but if you have been trained and work with them everyday, its just not possible, you have to have a mental disorder/minority complex to be able to do that. She could have scarred that kid for life, and she knew that. And this dad is completely powerless in this situation, this is the only way he could act, in a decent manner.
TL:DR, that teacher needs some help herself/not work with children.
